MIPS is seeking a Director of Business Development to be responsible for driving business strategy to win new customers and engage strategic partners in datacenter products. This individual is to be a results-oriented and driven individual who will build and nurture a robust opportunity pipeline to expand and increase our position in this space.

You will:
Drive business growth through planning and execution
Identify key players in the datacenter and cultivate both technical and business relationships
Serve as the primary point of contact in customer and partner engagements, evangelizing MIPS IP technology and solutions
Bring leadership in this sector and work with Sales, Product, and Marketing leads to facilitate winning strategies and products
Drive and manage all pre-design-win efforts and deliverables, including and customer-specific hardware and software requirements for the product and roadmap
Understand customer business goals and requirements; foster relationships and manage customer expectations to ensure their needs are aligned with MIPS’ strategic goals
Drive high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction, understanding product requirements and be a strong advocate internally
Work with and guide the marketing teams towards Events, Conferences, and other marketing activities necessary for this market segment
Represent the business unit to improve key customer relationships through clear articulation of value propositions, industry positioning and roadmaps

Ideally, you’ll have:
Experience with datacenter CPU, GPU, AI, and DPU products, including underlying hardware and software
Experience in strategic planning, analyzing business developments, sales forecasting and monitoring marketing trends for semiconductor products
Knowledge of Intel, AMD, RISC-V CPU, ARM, MIPS, IC architecture and performance
Technical background with a good understanding of semiconductor design cycle
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
Leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills
Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years in business development or similar customer-facing roles

A plus if you have:
Familiarity with automotive or datacenter SW ecosystems
Professional experience with SoC design
Understanding of SoC firmware and upper layer SW stacks
An MBA
