Message from RISC-V International

As we look back on 2023, we wanted to express our gratitude to the entire RISC-V ecosystem. Throughout the year, we witnessed groundbreaking developments, new product deployments, and technical achievements from this talented community. The explosive momentum of RISC-V was apparent across markets, such as automotive, data centers, embedded, AI/ML, dev tools, software stacks, mobile, security, and more!

Here are a few RISC-V highlights from this year:

  • Meta launched its first-generation AI inference accelerator, based on the RISC-V open ISA.
  • Qualcomm and Google are collaborating to bring a RISC-V based wearables solution for use with Wear OS by Google.
  • Google, Imagination Technologies, Nvidia, Qualcomm, SiFive and others launched the RISE Project, a collaborative effort to bring together global industry leaders committed to accelerating the availability of software for high-performance and power-efficient RISC-V cores.

Some of the accomplishments and highlights from the past year are included in our 2023 recap, click here.

At the recent RISC-V Summit North America, the global RISC-V community came together to demonstrate the power and continued adoption of RISC-V, and showcase the latest RISC-V products and solutions. You can watch the Summit sessions on our YouTube channel here.

RISC-V has welcomed a new era of scalability and flexibility, granting unprecedented opportunities to global companies, foundries, research institutions, developers, and more. As we look forward to 2024, we are eager to continue collaborating with the entire ecosystem to help drive innovation.

Happy holidays and happy new year!

Best,
Calista Redmond
