MSN Article: RISC-V Promotion Shows Initial Results, Andes Technology Operates Positively

Andes Technology received revenue of 305 million yuan last year, an increase of 5.31 percent. Among them, RISC-V new products accounted for 25~35% of revenue, especially for Chinese customers under the influence of trade war and increase in the enthusiasm of the US IP has contributed a lot to the revenue. Although the overall revenue is not as good as expected, the legal person estimates that the profit is still better than the performance of the previous year. Looking forward to this year, the Jingxin Branch’s legal representative said that the company is expected to launch four new products, lock in AI applications, and hope to increase momentum. The internal target revenue will increase by 1 to 30%, which is positive for the operation.
Jingxin is a founding member of the RISC-V Foundation. At the end of 2017, it launched two models, N25 and NX25, according to the RISC-V architecture. In 2018, it launched four new products, N25F, NX25F, A25 and AX25. Currently, there are 6 RISC-V products, which accounted for about 25~35% of last year’s revenue, with a total of 21 contracts, of which 16 were commercial contracts and 5 were for academic and research institutions. In further analysis of the 16 contracts, 8 for Chinese, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan customers the main application for NX25 is AI, followed by storage, fingerprint identification and so on.
