The Swiss research organization CSEM (Center Suisse d’Electronique et de Microtechnique SA) has developed a microcontroller with a 32 bit RISC processor, which can be operated near the threshold voltage with a voltage of 0.5 V, with the wafer manufacturer Mie Fujitsu Semiconductor (MIFS) developed.
