Marketing Committees

The RISC-V Marketing Committee and Task Groups support RISC-V International’s marketing by providing feedback and participating in deliverables.

READ CODE OF CONDUCT

The RISC-V Marketing Committee and task groups support the marketing activities of RISC-V International by providing feedback on organization marketing plans and participating in the tasks for marketing deliverables.

By creating and supporting a committee and task group structure, our intent is to ensure our community members have a voice in the marketing functions. We ask the committees to collect and represent the member’s ideas and positions.

With this policy, we have defined the roles of our existing committees, and we have a fair and clear way to evaluate new groups and chair and vice-chair nominees.

The main marketing groups are as follows:

RISC-V International Marketing Committee Chairs

  • Itai Yarom, Marketing Committee Chair
  • Marc Canel, Marketing Content Committee Chair
  • Victoria D. Rege, Marketing Events Committee Chair

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee seeks to generate awareness and adoption of the RISC-V open collaboration ecosystem and adoption of RISC-V technologies, be an advocate for the organization, and help build the RISC-V brand. They also provide input into the strategic marketing plan, RISC-V marketing activities, and assistance on the execution of marketing efforts. The RISC-V Marketing Committee should be considered by its members as an extension of their own marketing department for RISC-V related products, solutions, tools, etc. The Marketing Committee is open to all members of RISC-V International.

The Marketing Committee Chair is elected by the Marketing Committee annually and with no term limits. They must be from a Premier, Strategic, or Community member organization.

Members of RISC-V can join the Marketing Committee.

How to Use the Groups.io

Our groups server is based on groups.io, a popular cloud-based service that features mailing lists, calendars, file storage, and wiki pages. Each user has a profile based on their email address.

Members are typically added to the server when they join RISC-V. If you are affiliated with a member organization (i.e. if you have an email address within your organization’s domain) and you want to join, send a note to info@riscv.org and we will add you to the server.

The main Group

The main group functions as an identity server – all members of the system are members of the main group, although there is no traffic there. All other groups are considered “subgroups”.

If you remove yourself from main, you also remove yourself from all other lists.

Navigating groups

All members in good standing may participate in the discussions, subscribe to the lists, and view the files on the server, including the archives. Once you are logged into the system, you can visit and subscribe to groups by clicking Subgroups from the left navigation panel.

To join a subgroup from the list of available subgroups, select that subgroup and click Join this Group from the group page. You are then subscribed to the group and receive all communications.

To navigate quickly to your subscribed groups, click Your Groups. You can adjust your profile and preferences for the site by clicking your name in the upper right corner.

To find which group you are currently viewing, find the title box near the top of the page. The current group sets the context for the navigation menu. You can change groups by clicking Your Groups.

To return to the main page from any group page, select Subgroups and then RISC-V Main Group
