Job Description:
As an ASIC Verification Engineering Intern in the Data Center Solutions group (DCS), you will work on developing and validating our next generation Data Center Storage products, including enterprise class NVMe SSD controllers and other PCIe-based products. This will involve verification at subsystem or SOC level. Throughout you will be mentored and coached by experienced engineers and be exposed to Microchip’s Best-In-Class engineering practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ramping up on storage-related technical knowledge/concepts: ARM, AXI, PCIe, NVMe, DDR, NAND Flash, DMA, encryption, and so on.
- Learning through practice of verification methodologies.
- Working under guidance of the technical lead.
- Working in the SOC verification environment to debug and root-cause failures in SOC.
- Writing Embedded C programming code and run testcases.
- Verification environment using UVM testbench.
- Working to create Protium/Palladium (or equivalent) model builds and validating them.
- Run and develop Python/TCL/Shell verification scripts to test the SOC verification.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering
- Courses in digital design, computer architecture and C programming is a must
- Proficient in Verilog/SystemVerilog, C programming, TCL/Python/Shell Scripting
- Experience with simulation, UVM and simulation tools a plus
- Excellent programming and scripting skills
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
