The RISC-V Foundation held its Silicon Valley Summit last week. Embedded Computing Design Editor-in-Chief Brandon Lewis spoke with Brand Director Rich Nass in a podcast, focusing on the RISC-V Summit and the future for the Foundation.
Reflecting on the Summit, Brandon noted “It looks like RISC-V is gaining a head of steam. There were a lot of actual commercial products announced at the show this year, which is leaps and bounds ahead of the [alternative architecture solutions] that have come out in the past,” Brandon continues, “It was a pretty good show, I’m excited– cautiously optimistic, I’d say.”
The podcast covered the announcements from the Summit, the panel Brandon moderated on RISC-V and security, highlighted the Foundation’s growing presence China and emphasized the many opportunities the open-source RISC-V ISA has provided for the community.
