In order to assist the Taiwanese industry to enter the era of AIoT (Artificial Wisdom + Internet of Things) and cut into the commercial market from the embedded CPU open architecture, the initiative of the Taiwan IoT Industry Technology Association (TwIoTA) Chairman Huang Chongren, with Li Jing, Zhi Cheng and Shen with the assistance of the founding companies such as Shield, Andes Technology, MediaTek, Ruixiang, Lijidian, Liwang, and Inlay, the Taiwan RISC-V Alliance held a launching ceremony on the 7th and invited the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Technology and a number of professors to attend the event.
Wang Qi, the head of the parliament, said that the main purpose of the establishment of the Taiwan RISC-V Alliance is to help the RISC-V open architecture be introduced into Taiwan through the three-way cooperation of production, learning and research, and to connect the RISC-V ecosystem resources at home and abroad. From research and development, design to application, Taiwan’s industry can have the ability to integrate AIOT and build on 5G communication trends and business opportunities to enhance Taiwan’s industrial competitiveness.
