More exhibitors presented their products at the 17th Embedded World: 1117 companies from 42 countries were represented with their stands – that is about 100 more than last year. They occupied 8 percent more exhibition space. For exhibitors, the international share is now 56 percent. There were also about 31,000 trade visitors that came to Nuremberg on the three days.
The Embedded World conference and the Electronic Displays conference were attended by approximately 2000 participants. The main topic of the Embedded World conference 2019 was “Embedded Intelligence.” In total, there were 225 lectures with a total duration of almost eight days, plus 12 half- and full-time classes and two keynotes. “At the embedded world Conference, it became clear that we have dealt with the current topic very well with our comprehensive range of embedded intelligence products. The conference showed once again how important the exchange of experts is, especially with regard to hot topics,” says Professor Dr. Ing. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the Embedded World Conference and Chairman of the Fair Advisory Board.
In addition to the established panel discussions “Safe for the Future” and “Embedded Vision & Machine Learning” on the second day of the fair, two more rounds of talks took place for the first time this year. The topics were “Embedded Intelligence” and “RISC-V.”
Representing all moderators of the roundtable discussions, Prof. Sikora summarizes “The concept of expert talks on the forums in the middle of the trade fair took place again this year. There were lively, technically demanding discussions among the speakers, but also with the participants. The feedback shows that we are exactly right with the topics and the format to pick up current topics and set trends. The two new expert talks on ‘Embedded Intelligence’ and ‘RISC-V’ also convinced the local experts. The new concept of the ‘Talk & Walk’, in which guided tours through the fair on the corresponding topics were offered after the podium discussions, was also very popular.
