SiFive’s U74 is the world’s highest performance RISC-V application processor, maxing out at 5.1 CoreMark/MHz. RISC-V has an open-source ISA and is also supported by major tech companies like NVIDIA, Google, and Tesla. Some of the challenges faced by the architecture are adoption and cost, but there has been great progress.
