Red Hat recently became an official “Silver” member of the RISC-V Foundation, which is the foundation behind the industry’s most promising project in the search for an open source chip.
RISC-V has won a strong ally, although the open-source giant had already been participating in its promotion. In addition, its developers have been collaborating with its RISC-V support for some time, for example the Fedora distribution. Now as an official member, Red Hat will continue to support the development of the RISC-V ISA.
