Developers are under constant pressure: they have to quickly design innovative circuits that provide sufficient computing power with as little energy as possible and should cost as little as possible. At the same time, they must protect their intellectual property (IP) in the best possible way. “Reduced Instruction Set Computer V”, or RISC-V for short, could be a solution for these requirements – not least for mobile applications in the Internet of Things.
