RISC-V is an Instruction set architecture developed at UC Berkeley. Many startups and tech giants have noticed this technology because it is totally free and open source. Most processors come with a license agreement, but with RISC-V anyone can manufacture their RISC-V chip or design their new processor. We probably won’t have a RISC-V PC anytime soon, but we can expect small devices to show up with RISC-V processors. In this video, we will learn about RISC-V, the open source hardware revolution.
