India RISC-V gets lift from Tenstorrent JV with Bodhi Computing

India received a boost to its RISC-V program this week as Tenstorrent announced its investment in and partnership with Bodhi Computing, a company set up last month by ex-Intel engineers Sambit Sahu and Ragu Barathalwar to build and sell server-grade systems based on Tenstorrent AI and other RISC-V technologies.

The news came as Jim Keller, CEO of Tenstorrent opened its ‘Nerds talking to nerds about RISC-V’ event at Brigade Tech Gardens in Bangalore, India. As part of their commitment to India’s Digital India RISC-V (DIR-V) program, Tenstorrent and Bodhi Computing will collaborate to pioneer the development of software and systems for RISC-V and AI solutions and play a significant role in developing the open-source ecosystem in the process, with Jim Keller joining Bodhi Computing’s board of directors.
