Calista Redmond, CEO, RISC-V International
“RISC-V made incredible progress in 2020, with our members moving from proof of concept to production, the public perception of RISC-V turning from proponents and skeptics to enthusiastic support, and the RISC-V community expanding our reach across geographical borders and industries, from embedded to enterprise. We were especially proud to see new applications of the ISA including the progress in Europe on the De-RISC project for space and aeronautical applications, the new form factors such as SiFive’s plan for Linux PCs with RISC-V processors, the launch of Microchip’s SoC FPGA Development Kit and Seagate’s recent announcement of cores and SoCs for storage controllers.
