The next generation roadmap of the government and private companies for securing non-memory semiconductor technology is being released to the public. Mr. Moon Jae-in, who visited Samsung Electronics‘ Hwaseong Campus on April 30, formulated a system semiconductor business development plan through ‘Korea Semiconductor Vision.’
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy also announced plans to open a special course on chip design at 13 universities nationwide in order to secure system semiconductor design manpower. Since 2021, they have aimed to produce more than 200 semiconductor designers each year.
