Earlier this month, a single report from China claimed that Samsung will make a big change on its next Exynos processor, tentatively dubbed as the Exynos 9830. The report claimed that the Korean tech giant will not customize ARM’s Cortex A77 designs for the SoC. Instead, Samsung will use four Cortex A77 and four Cortex A55 cores, unlike its predecessor.
Now we’ve got another report, this time from South Korea, that suggests a new development at Samsung’s foundry business. The company will now fabricate non-ARM IP with its foundry in collaboration with the processor design company SemiFive. Take a look below for more details.
