Events are key to the success of RISC-V, where we come together to share the latest developments and build the relationships that move our ecosystem forward.  The next few months will see some of the biggest RISC-V events of the year, where I look forward to connecting with the worldwide RISC-V community and discovering all the latest amazing developments first hand!  

RISC-V Summit Europe is only two weeks away (June 24-28, Munich, Germany) with attendees representing industry, government, research, academia and ecosystem attending from around the world. The packed agenda explores  AI, automotive, embedded, IoT, space, security and much more, with keynotes and invited talks from some of the industry’s leading voices, including:

  • Alexander Kocher, CEO at Quintauris
  • Thomas Böhm, Senior Vice President & General Manager Microcontroller Automotive at Infineon Technologies
  • Edward Wilford, Principal Analyst at Omdia

Next week I travel to Brazil for a RISC-V event hosted by the Brazil Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation together with the Eldorado Research Institute.  Brazil became a Premier member of RISC-V International earlier this year and is leading adoption of the RISC-V standard in Latin America. It’s exciting to see countries like Brazil adopting RISC-V as a way to invest locally and collaborate globally. I can’t wait to find out more!

RISC-V Day Tokyo is Japan’s largest RISC-V event, taking place on August 1 at the University of Tokyo . This year’s event is fully in-person, for additional details visit the event’s website. Also in August is RISC-V Summit China 2024 which will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang from August 21 to 23. The summit is the largest annual RISC-V event in China and a highlight of the year with more than 3,000 attendees and more than 500,000 watching online! The call for speakers is open until June 22, and sponsorships are now available. 

Later this year RISC-V Summit North America takes place on October 22-23 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Sponsorships are now available as well as early registration rates to save on your passes. You won’t want to miss the speaker lineup planned for this year’s show and to get the opportunity to engage with RISC-V innovators across many commercial applications in AI/ML, wireless, automotive, data center, space, IoT, embedded and more.

Marketing Update

AI and Automotive Market Development Groups are meeting to advance awareness and adoption of the RISC-V ISA and member technologies in both markets. Contact Andy Moore (andy@riscv.org) if you would like to attend.

Upcoming RISC-V Events

The Design Automation Conference (DAC) is scheduled for June 23-27 in San Francisco. Members from the RISC-V International leadership team will be onsite to engage with new and prospective members. Registration is now open, sign up to attend today. 

Embedded World North America takes place on October 8 – 10 in Austin Texas with RISC-V sessions part of the program. The Call for Papers deadline is June 14,  select the topic “11.01 RISC-V” when submitting.
