BEVFormer: A Proven Model, A New Challenge
BEVFormer, introduced in 2022, is a well-established transformer-based Bird’s Eye View (BEV) perception model critical for autonomous driving. It transforms six 900×1600 camera inputs into a 200×200 BEV representation, enabling robust 3D object detection, spatial reasoning, and temporal fusion.
