RT-Thread: Pioneering Real-Time Operating System for RISC-V

By July 12, 2024No Comments

In the realm of modern computing architectures, the emergence of RISC-V marks a significant development, offering unprecedented openness and flexibility for processor design and implementation. At the forefront of this revolution, the RT-Thread open-source real-time operating system (RTOS) actively contributes to the construction of the RISC-V ecosystem. Its open-source nature perfectly aligns with the RISC-V community’s principles of openness. Combining its modular architecture, minimalist kernel, and rich middleware packages, RT-Thread has become the top choice for real-time operating systems in RISC-V projects.

At the recent 2024 RT-Thread Global Tech Conference (June 1 – June 6), over 30,000 participants attended, and the event featured 54 RT-Thread-related topics. Among these, 7 topics were related to RISC-V, contributed by RT-Thread community developers and partners. This highlights the close and rapidly developing relationship between RT-Thread and the RISC-V ecosystem.
