The weather might have been scorching, but the networking at Hot Chips was on fire! RISC-V was front and center, showcasing member boards, and fielding questions and engaging with RISC-V enthusiasts in attendance.
No surprise to us, but RISC-V was the buzzword of the conference. The open standard RISC-V ISA was mentioned in several presentations and research posters, showcasing the ecosystem’s continued momentum and innovation.
The spotlight at Hot Chips was on AI Computing, but one session that stole the show was the final one: “XiangShan: An Open-Source Project for High-Performance RISC-V Processors Meeting Industrial-Grade Standards” presented by Kaifan Wang from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The room was packed, and the energy was palpable—an inspiring conclusion to a dynamic event.
As we look forward to the future, we’re gearing up for the RISC-V Summit North America, coming up on October 22-23 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. This event promises to be another fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and showcase the latest advancements in the RISC-V ecosystem. Register today to take advantage of the low cost – we can’t wait to see you here!
Until then, stay cool and keep innovating!
