作者 | 包永刚 出品 | 雷锋网(公众号:雷锋网)产业组 2010年诞生的最“年轻”指令集RISC-V已经吸引了众多巨头支持者,比如国外的谷歌、高通、西部数据,国内的阿里、华为、紫光展锐。近几年,开源的RISC-V指令集芯片在IoT市场已经取得了不错的成绩,给这一市场占有优势的ARM带来不小压力。 Semico Research 预计,2025年全球将有624亿个RISC-V CPU核心。RISC-V指令集不仅可以用于CPU,全球首款基于RISC-V指令集的DSP(Digital Signal Processor,数字信号处理器)将在本月底量产,该芯片来自中国初创公司中科昊芯。 对于RISC-V阵营而言,这是生态建设中一个值得关注的进展。对于DSP芯片而言,这是一个大胆的尝试。对于中国的国产芯片四大件而言,这是一个突破的机会。 全球首款RISC-V DSP面向工业自动化市场 根据已知的公开消息,中科昊芯是全球第一家用RISC-V指令集设计DSP的公司。中科昊芯创始人兼董事长李任伟告诉雷锋网:“我们是国内为数不多的DSP团队,有十多年DSP和通用处理器研发经验,在2016年就开始RISC-V处理器核的研究。2019年1月公司成立,7月份首款RISC-V DSP芯片流片成功。” “3月底我们就会量产两个系列的DSP,都是面向工业自动化市场。”李任伟透露。中科昊芯之所以敢率先选择RISC-V设计DSP,除了其团队有成功研发多款处理器的经验,还因为RISC-V是解决国产DSP两大挑战的好选择。DSP是一类嵌入式通用可编程微处理器,最大的优势是能够实时高速处理数字信号,且比CPU、GPU、FPGA功耗更低,广泛应用于通信、计算、消费电子和自动控制等领域。 “DSP主要有两种形式,一种是单芯片,另一种是通过IP或模块集成到SoC。”李任伟说:“国产单芯片DSP有一些市占率,在DSP IP领域国产化率几乎为零。” 雷锋网了解到,国产DSP在某些特殊领域的国产化率已经达到80%以上,但这些特殊领域占DSP整体市场的份额不到5%,其它领域国产DSP自给率不足10%。 提升DSP的自给率,有两大制约因素。第一个制约因素是知识产权,任何处理器都需要指令集,指令集的问题本质就是知识产权问题。CPU有x86、ARM、MIPS等指令集,其中ARM凭借授权模式在移动处理器市场称霸。 “巨头们的DSP指令集都各不相同,并且不对外授权,国产DSP想要自己定义一套指令集的难度不大,但仅凭一己之力很难构建一整套工具链和生态。”李任伟指出。 第二个制约因素是应用生态,如何吸引开发者和客户使用国产DSP是一个更大的挑战。…
