The University of Electro-Communications

This university originates from the Institute of Telegraph and Telephone Wireless Telegraph Training Institute, which was founded in 1918 with the aim of training wireless communication engineers. The university was opened as a new university. The name does not include a place name, the only national university that has an undergraduate degree. This is based on the spirit of creating universities that are open throughout Japan.
