WELCOME TO CODASIP:

We believe Codasip is the most innovative processor solutions company. We take pride in designing and developing cutting-edge, high-performance, and energy-efficient CPU cores from scratch, and our own automated proprietary tools to fully customize them. We give our customers a unique competitive advantage by empowering their system-on-chip developers to build the most innovative products.

Our processor cores are based on the RISC-V open architecture. The potential for customizing RISC-V is unlocked with the Codasip Custom Compute approach: our unique architecture description language, CodAL, and the powerful automated processor design tool, Codasip Studio. These are at the heart of our unique and groundbreaking RISC-V processor solutions.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This role encapsulates the development of software and tooling to optimally implement AI Algorithms on embedded processors, so you will be part of the AI Team within Codasip Labs, aiming to improve and enhance AI capabilities on RISC-V processors. You may be required to interact with Codasip’s customers to demonstrate AI-related tools and software during business development activities.

YOUR ROLE AND MAIN FOCUS:

  • Implement commonly used AI/ML low-level libraries and APIs (e.g. CMSIS-NN) on RISC-V and optimize these for our 100 and 700 families of processors via the use of optimized kernels and custom instructions.
  • Help specify and develop a tool to translate a high-level AI model into C code for profiling within Studio, our EDA tool.
  • Apply this tool to openly available AI models and identify custom instructions to accelerate performance.
  • Develop demonstrations of these activities for use with customers and at conferences, including application notes and website articles.
  • Engage with customers who have AI models and use the tool and Studio to implement custom instructions to accelerate their execution.

YOU NEED:

  • Solid exposure to commercial embedded systems-level software development
  • Proven experience with processor architectures, preferably in optimizing kernels and custom instructions for specific processor families
  • C/C++, and Python programming skills
  • Knowledge of AI/ML low-level library development and optimization
  • Good communication skills and preferably some customer-facing experience for conferences and engaging with customers
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude to work
  • A desire to learn and also positively influence the technical development of others
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
