The Board of Directors nominate and vote on the strongest RISC-V technical contributors for the year and award the top candidate(s) with the RISC-V Board of Directors Technical Leadership Award. The runners-up candidates are given the RISC-V Technical Contributor Awards.
The RISC-V Community nominates candidates they feel have done great things for the community. RISC-V Ambassadors and Marketing Chairs then vote for the RISC-V Community Leader Award (1 person) who will be recognized at the RISC-V Summit. This award is for notable personal dedication to RISC-V success and is nominated and awarded when determined by RISC-V leadership. It is not an annual award so may not happen every year.
