Stay Connected With RISC-V
We send occasional news about RISC-V technical progress, news, and events.
In recent years, the field of processor chips is undergoing a revolutionary change. The core of this change is RISC-V (Reduced Instruction Set Computer-V), a new instruction set architecture.
RISC-V is an open source, free-to-use instruction set architecture that aims to provide flexible and highly customizable processor designs for different application scenarios. Compared with traditional proprietary instruction set architectures, the charm of RISC-V lies in its openness and freedom, which allows anyone to use, modify and customize the architecture to build their own processor chip. This open source thinking not only drives innovation, but also advances the processor industry.
In order to let more people understand and participate in this exciting development, we invited Dr. Yu Zihao, a Ph.D. from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to give us a wonderful sharing on the theme of “New Trends in Processor Chip Development: Open Source Chips”.
RISC-V applications are growing rapidly around the world, with shipments exceeding 10 billion units. This report will cover the following:
而这个变革的核心就是RISC-V(Reduced Instruction Set Computer – V),一种全新的指令集架构。
