“RISC-V will determine the development of the computer industry for the next 50 years,” Rick O’Connor, executive director of the RISC V Foundation, in a conversation with RBC magazine, is full of optimism about the prospects for technology. RISC-V instruction set architecture (instruction set algorithm – ISA)  is the basic instruction set with which the processor works: ISA connects the elements of the core, determines the programmable part of the “brain” of the computer.
RISC-V – opensource-project, launched in 2010 on the initiative of a group of researchers from the University of Berkeley, headed by Professor Krste Asanovich. For practical training, scientists needed a microprocessor production technology, which they and their students could not afford to license. I had to take on the development myself – the process took three months.
