Following FOSDEM, KDE developers met in Berlin on February 14 for the first plasma mobile sprint, which can be read on the project website. They worked on the user interface, the documentation for developers, the infrastructure and various applications. On the hardware side, the implementation of Plasma Mobile on a RISC V board and the dev board of the Linux Phone Librem 5 continued to be developed.
The code base of the user interface has been cleaned up and simplified with the shell refreshed. Developer documentation has been extended for both operating system and app development. Kirigami allows Qt developers to create applications that run on most desktop and mobile platforms without customization. Kirigami himself received a new API to customize the top bar for applications.
