At RISC-V Summit China 2022, Alibaba Group’s chip design subsidiary,T-Head Semiconductor, launched the Wujian 600 development platform based on the open-source architecture. According to the company, the development platform supports both Linux and Android operating systems, and has been used by T-Head to develop its own TH1520 high performance SoC prototype.
Geared for edge applications, the SoC includes a quad-core Xuantie C910 CPU up to 2.5GHz clock speed, 4 TOPs of NPU, 64-bit 4266MT on DDR, and a wide range of standard I/O interfaces. Jianyi Meng, T-Head’s vice president, regarded the 2GHz clock speed as a milestone of RISC-V commercialization.
