KCBS Interview: David Patterson Interview

UC Berkeley professor emeritus David Patterson shares this year’s Turing Award (often called the “Nobel Prize of Computing”) with his longtime collaborator, former Stanford University President John Hennessy. The two developed and popularized the idea of “reduced instruction set computing” in the 1980’s. RISC chips are now ubiquitous. Patterson spoke with KCBS Radio anchors Stan Bunger and Holly Quan.
