According to the news of the director of SemiFive, Cho Myung-hyun, the chip uses the Samsung 14nm LPP process.
At present, TSMC, the main rival of the Samsung wafer fab, has already introduced the RISC-V foundry business. The addition of the two companies will enrich the RISC-V ecosystem while developing more fabless-free design company customers.
It is reported that SemiFive is a subsidiary of RISC-V giant SiFive in Korea, which has received investment of about 150 billion won from Samsung, Intel and Qualcomm, and maintains more than 250 ecological partners.
