The RISC-V Foundation, in collaboration with the Linux Foundation, is hosting free, half-day “Getting Started with RISC-V” events in Tel Aviv, Munich, Berlin, Tallinn, Paris and London from Sept. 16-26. RISC-V Foundation members will give presentations and live demonstrations showcasing innovation RISC-V solutions and implementations. Register today to save your spot! MINRES Technologies is one of the featured RISC-V Foundation members in the EMEA roadshow, presenting the session “Embedded Software Development for RISC-V Based SoC.” MINRES helps customers to establish and improve embedded software engineering processes, methodologies and techniques tailored to meet their specific requirements and capable to adapt to future needs. Read on to learn more about the company and what it will be showcasing at the events. What applications or problems does your company’s technology solve for engineers?
- MINRES helps its customers adopting virtual prototyping to accelerate embedded software development and increase the transparency of the process as well as improve the productivity of the developers.
- MINRES provides RISC-V based IP to be used in virtual prototyping. An example can be found at https://git.minres.com/VP. This VP resembles a HiFive1 controlling a brush-less DC (BLDC) motor. It utilizes DBT-RISE, an infrastructure which allows to quickly explore variations of the ISA and its effects on the software e.g. in terms of performance.
- The talk will highlight how virtual platforms can be used in embedded software development allowing for modern development methodologies like agile, test-driven design and continuous integration. It also outlines the foundations and prerequisites to efficiently build virtual platforms. The audience will learn about deployment of virtual platforms for additional use cases like performance validation increasing the value of virtual platforms.
